My friend spent months talking up Esther’s Kitchen in Vegas so of course I had to stalk the restaurant reservation system to get in since they are so popular. We came in for brunch on a Saturday. They are located in downtown, but how do I explain this? Away from the main downtown hotel area – so it felt quite new and safe to walk around. There’s only street parking but we were able to find one, just had to walk a little bit. This restaurant is super popular so I highly suggest a reservation. Let’s check out the food!
House-made Ginger Ale
Non-alcoholic (of course), the waiter hyped it up so much that three of us ordered it. Sorry I didn’t get the price but this drink was very zesty and refreshing, you can taste the fresh ginger in it. Would recommend!
House-made Sourdough Bread (Three Choices) | $19.00
You can order their house-made sourdough bread with your choice of butters, gosh I forget exactly the ones we went for. Though one of them was fegatini (chicken liver and foie gras + saba + strawberry), that was so good if you like foie gras. Was it good? Sure. Would I order again? I think I can go with or without bread – not a must have.
Cauliflower Alla Romana | $15.00
anchovy + chili + garlic + fried capers + parsley
This was the dish my friend talked up the most. I wasn’t sure cauliflower would knock my socks off, but it did. Not only are they seasoned perfectly, they found a way to fry it up super crispy. The cauliflower inside was not al dente at all, perfectly cooked inside. I gotta know how to they cooked it so well and developed such a crispy skin! I would absolutely order this again.
New School Chicken Parm Sando | $21.00
vodka sauce + pistachio pesto + basil ricota + arugula
It’s hard to give a good review on this sandwich because we had to split it five ways lol. From what I remember – it was good! And I like that they fry up fresh taro chips! Made me feel like I was home.
Mayer Lemon Pancakes | $19.00
huckleberry jam + meyer lemon curd + lemon whipped cream
Rigatoni | $25.00
carbonara + guanciale + egg yolk + snap peas
This was one of the dishes I was most excited to try. Luckily they make it with snap peas and not regular peas or my friend would object. This dish looks good but boy was it bland – it was a bit disappointing. The pasta was also a bit gummy. I would not order this again.
The Brunch Pizza | $21.00
bacon + caramelized onions + thyme + fontina + quail eggs
I’m not usually into brunch type dishes and throwing it on a pizza? I wasn’t expecting much but boy was I wrong! It was actually quite good! Gotta bring Chan here on our next trip, he’ll love this dish!
Cherry Cinnamon French Toast | $21.00
cherries + cream cheese | cinnamon
Yes, we already had the pancakes above but this was our ending dessert lol I’m not big on pancakes and french toast so I won’t offer too much comments. I will say that the table did enjoy it! All in all, this was a wonderful meal and our waiter was so good. Definitely would return!

Haven’t been to Vegas in years and years. I like the food in Chinatown.
