Fred Pizza

This was our last dinner before our trek out to Busan/Jinju/Hamyang! Food delivery of course and we went for Fred Pizza. Korean interpretations of American food can vary in success as you saw with our BHC chicken experience. Here is what we got to try!

Half Mega Deluxe | Half Garlic Shrimp Flex Pizza

Garlic shrimp sounds good right? No can lose right? Can lose. I mean it wasn’t awful, but don’t expect a garlic scampi like topping. I don’t know what kind of sauce they used but yes, it was sweet. Not as sweet as the BHC chicken but it just didn’t taste great. I ate it but I definitely wouldn’t order it again. The Mega Deluxe is basically a supreme pizza so that was good.

Smoked Chicken

This was a very good side dish! Imagine huli huli chicken, nice and moist with great smokey flavor!

Bacon Cream Spaghetti (Rose Sauce)

Yum. Usually creamy dishes would send me running (to the bathroom) but this was good! A nice little zing of spice (okay maybe not so little zing for me). Very good! We said we should order from this place again (spoiler: we did). Good dinner before our travel day!

i’m too lazy to look up myself but am intrigued by so many Korean places calling their dishes “rose”. There’s even a bakery in town that is called Honolulu Rose Cake Shop. Pretty good but pretty pricey/

  3. You are so brave. I would just order my favorites over and over.

btw, I just had a miso eggplant bowl from O’Kims in downtown. OMG! It was $18 but the quality and taste! It is supposed to be Korean but Korean from another dimension. This, I would order over and over.

I also tried Fete’s Korean chicken deep fried sandwich that everyone was raving about. I think it was $24. The chicken was huge, the sandwich was super messy, bun got soggy, taste was spicy but not memorable. Meh. At least I tried it.

Haha well we did order this again so I do stick to familiar dishes too!

You adventure out to downtown quite a bit! Thanks for all the scoops! Haven’t been to O’Kims since their old location! Wanna try to Fete too but maybe not the chicken sandwich, thanks for letting me know!
