YogurStory has been around for a very long time – I think the last time I came here was in their old location. They are now located where the old Like Like Drive Inn is. They are a trendy breakfast/brunch place so if you’re into that, go for it! I’m not into ube so that would be wasted on me. This is a quick post because we both ate the same thing lol. We came at 7AM on a weekday and it was empty, nice to beat the crowd.
Fat Pig Fried Rice | $10.95
bacon, kalua pig, portuguese sausage, scrambled egg
This is the second time I ordered this, I think the first time I ordered it – I was disappointed because I thought those meats would be served on the side of the fried rice! I learned very quickly that it’s just the meats chopped up and fried up with the rice! $11 bucks for this dish is actually quite a steal, I think it tastes great! So much flavor, it’s like a local style omurice (sorta). I really enjoyed it!
Aloha Pancake | $16.95
buttermilk pancakes with macadamia nuts, strawberry, blueberry, banana, maple syrup and butter
I wish they had version of this for waffles because I wanted all the berries and bananas on top so we settled to share the pancakes. They were good! Then again, I’m not a huge pancake fan so I just had half my serving. But can’t go wrong with all that butter and maple syrup! Tasted great!
Last time I went was in the old location next to Sorabol, too. I think even the old owner too.
I keep thinking I want to try again whenever I see it be cause I go to Banchan House and Wholesale Unltd. The parking lot is so small hard to find parking for any of those locations so I just drive on. Sad.
I didn’t even know they changed owners! But it’s okay, same menu and still tastes great! I think yogurstory is the reason why that parking lot is so dang busy!
Fried rice sounds great! I just had Mama’s Fried rice from Bogarts. It is vegetarian but they do use butter and it is delish! Junk parking with stupid people. I was backing out of my parking spot and two young girls on a moped came zooming into the driveway while I was backing up so I stopped to make sure they stopped, and then continued backing up. Idiots. They thought I was the idiot. More idiotic! lol. We all survived but next time I’ll reverse into the stall.
Oh I haven’t had bogarts in a long time! I wouldn’t mind trying them again one day. That parking lot is CRAZY. And not cause of the stalls, you are right, it’s the people!! Even the pedestrians just walk around so haphazardly!
