Did I only do one post on Moobongri Soup & Yakiniku? I’ll just share the update here, while their food is good, I’ve had off and on service here. Not that they were ever awful or rude but sometimes it’s just obvious they cater to the Korean customers. It’s also funny because they seem to seat us that way too. During one of our previous visits, they seated all us non-Koreans on the perimeter of the restaurant. This time, we were all seated inside while all the Koreans were seated on the perimeter. The service for the two visits in this post wasn’t bad! I like that they are close to my workplace and their pricing is somewhat okay. My friend likes to get the Mul Naengmyun & Kalbi combo for $24.95. I read a Yelp review that their naengmyun is only $14.95 regular price so they charge you $10 for the one piece of kalbi. You read that right, that’s crazy!

Spicy Soondae Soup | $19.95
My usual go-to dish here, especially since it’s one of their specialties. Nothing great to say about it, but nothing bad either!
Spicy Beef Short Rib Soup | $20.95
This one was a bummer. I saw someone else get this dish last time I was here and told myself to get it this time. It may look like a good amount of meat, but it’s really not. And what’s sneaky is, they bring it near your table and then start snipping off the meat off the bone into the soup. Well barely had any meat in the soup or on the bone. And only small amount of glass noodles too (that’s the cheap stuff!). The flavor wasn’t that great either. I wouldn’t get this again.

I went there with a friend once after your first posting about it. The service was good, we were seated on the perimeter, and we didn’t have poke as one of the banchans. It was very good! I think I ordered their kalbi. I love kalbi.
kinda bummer
I’ve been debating whether to go there. So many Korean restaurants have opened lately that seems like the ones I like are not too crowded anymore, like lunchtime when always had a wait for tables. Still cannot beat Hangang for the banchan!
