Mr. Beast Burger – Honolulu, HI

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I am old. Heck if I know who Mr. Beast is but ask any teenager or kid and they all seem to know who he is. I loathe to even look up his details, I am sure he is internet famous but doesn’t seem too terrible in terms of his role modeling for kids. Anyway, he started doing burgers over the pandemic and it was available here. The only thing is, they operate out of ghost kitchens and during the pandemic, you could only order his food through food delivery services. I don’t do those. Well I checked again recently and was pleased to see that they now also allow for pick-ups! If you go to his website, you can pick out the location you want to get yours from. We ordered ours from the Buca di Beppo location in Ward, they have a little pick-up area at the front of the restaurant.

Beast Style Double Burger Combo | $14.49
smashed crispy beef patties with house seasoning, american cheese, pickles, diced white onion, mayo, ketchup and brown mustard on a toasted bun served with your choice of seasoned or Beast style fries and a drink.

I didn’t eat these combos, but the burgers were enjoyed quite nicely. If you got teenager boys to feed, you found a good option.

“Seasoned” fries

I put seasoned in quotation marks because I was told these were not seasoned at all. Salt was added by us. Yeah when I see seasoned on a menu, I expect to see the seasoning. These look just plain and also overcooked.

Beast style fries | +$1.80
loaded with caramelized onions, American cheese, pickles, mayo, ketchup and mustard

When I saw this on the menu, I thought it was like delicious cheesy fries. It’s not. It’s literally what they put on top of a burger onto fries. Weird…right?

Anyway, the burgers were enjoyed. We may return just to try the other burgers they have on the menu. This gets a meh rating from me.

Never heard of them either, but I’m waaaay older too! The seasoned fries actually look good to me, but if no seasoning….. The beast fries look terrible, but I also don’t like chili cheese fries, LOL
Reminds me on going to Chubbies. Heard so much about them but when I went, I don’t know if it was an “off” day but the strong odor of hamburger grease was very off putting. Made me wonder if they ever cleaned the grill!

Haha okay so you seem to like your fried stuff not drenched in any sauce of any time. I guess I’m the opposite, love everything sauced!

Bunto has great sliders but they moved all the way to Pearl City and I don’t make it out to the KCC farmer’s market or the Blaisdell one. They also make great fries!

I read some place about him, so looked him up and he’s some kinda popular influencer. Don’t know why his burgers are a thing since he’s not known for them. I am so over influencers so wouldn’t give them my business. Especially at those prices! Eek I could get a nice plate lunch for that price. I am tight!!

Hahaha I get it N! I’m the same. You’re right. I don’t know if this is right but I heard his burger proceeds go to charity but now I am not sure.

  4. Lately I have been making bets with a construction friend about this or that and whoever loses has to buy a Big Mac for the winner.

The first time we bet, I lost and we went to McDonald’s and ordered 2 Big Mac meals. I didn’t have a Big Mac in decades but when I bit into it (was smaller than before), it was really delicious! Surprised me, major!

So now we both have the app and can buy one and get one free and we get the cheap soda and feast on Big Macs, win or lose. Life is good!

I had a Big Mac after a long time the other week and you’re right, was really good and hit the spot. I have the app too and I’ve redeemed plenty rewards! Keep at it!
