Back at Hong Yeon once again. This time, I brought Chan who was groaning that I never went with him. Not only did I not go with him before this, I went twice without him (lol). Anyway, I took him and he enjoyed it quite a bit! We even came back like a week later with someone else too. So yeah, this post is two visits in one. Came for lunch on a weekday because that’s the best deal! I noticed they have online ordering now! That’s so much more convenient. It doesn’t look like the lunch specials are for online ordering which I understand. They are running another deal right now! $9.99 bowl of jajangmyeon but I don’t know how long this special is running for.

Oh this buggah was good. And fresh out of the fryer? Fuggedaboutit. It was so good. They serve it with a side of hot mustard or sweet chili sauce. Definitely best eaten fresh in the restaurant but also good air fried at home! Yummy!

The lunch combo comes with your choice of jajangmyun or jampong. I went with jampong this time because I am the spice queen and I really enjoy their special seafood broth. It was super flavorful. I’ll highlight the four different combos you can create below and the cost (which depends on the dish you want to pair your noodles with!).
Seafood & Vegetable Stir-fry Combo | $28.00
This was good! Interesting. A lot of sea cucumber in it which I don’t know if I like or not yet. Chan likes that so he can eat it.
Fried Shrimp with Hot Sauce Combo | $26.00
Yum, basically a chili shrimp. I liked it!
Kung Pao Chicken Combo | $26.00
This was a great dish too! Would be perfect with a nice bowl of white rice. Yeah it was spicy, and yeah Chan says I suck air when I eat spicy food. So what?
Sweet and Sour Pork Combo (Tangsuyuk) | $26.00
The essential dish you get when you order jajangmyeon. So good. And like I’ve mentioned before, the entrees they serve with the noodles are HUGE. Always gonna walk away with leftovers. Great food and service, would definitely still recommend!

I went there 3 times already for the lunch special. Jajamyeon and sweet sour pork lunch combo. Combo is too much for one person so I go if I can rope in someone to go with me. Your other dishes look pretty good and interesting – but I will stick with the lunch combo – being a creature of habit.
Oh wow! Glad you been so many times! All the dishes I shared are the lunch combo options! Only the shrimp toast is on its own! Just wanted to show the other options you can use for the lunch combo price! What a deal and steal!
